ACV Bovine Practitioner of the Year 2017

Congratulations to Bob Rheinberger, who was awarded Bovine Practitioner of the Year at the recent Australian ACV Conference.

Bob Rheinberger has been a senior lecturer and practitioner at the University of Sydney for 10 years and frequently has students at his practice. Bob continues to support newer graduates with gaining their PREGCHECK® accreditations and has mentored many graduates throughout the years.

Bob was instrumental in twice bringing the World Buiatrics Congress to Australia, which gave Australian cattle vets the opportunity to be a part of the world stage. Bob has presented at several conferences, including international and local events, and has a broad knowledge of cattle medicine, which he is always willing to share with students and colleagues alike.

He has also contributed to the Australian cattle industry through his work in the feedlot and dairy industries and research into Theileria and pestirvirus Bob has been a past President of the ACV and has been the Vice President of the World Association for Buiatrics for 16 years. He has been involved in several studies that have contributed to animal welfare in the Australian cattle industry.
