Annual Conference

ACV holds a large annual conference, the conference is a major initiative in the AVA's comprehensive annual Continuing Professional Development Program.

Cattle veterinarians can participate in world-class lectures as well as hands-on skills workshops. There are also opportunities for sponsors and trade exhibitors to attend and communicate with the largest audience of rural vets in Australia. Our conference provides a great opportunity to learn, share in new scientific research and to catch up with colleagues.

Details will soon be released for the 2018 ACV Conference to be held in the harbour city of Fremantle, Western Australia from 3-6 April 2018.

Past Conference Proceedings

All past conference proceedings can be accessed in the VetEd library here.  The VetEd library is accessible only to members so please remember to be logged in to the AVA website to access the full range of papers.

Application for ACV Support for Field Days - 2017

Annually ACV receives requests from a number of members and organisations to provide support for industry field days and events in their local area.

As our annual (calendar year) budget must be approved by AVA in the last quarter of the preceding year, we often simply do not have the budget allocation to support these requests.

In order to ensure that we are fair to all members who may wish to do this, we have drafted a proforma for use to request funding/resources for 2017 to be received by 1 September 2016 to be considered in this year’s ACV 2017 budget process.

While we cant promise that all requests will be fully funded, we can ensure that they will certainly given careful consideration.
