The Seminar

By the end of this seminar, attendees should be familiar with a logical, stepwise
approach to cytological interpretation of routine specimens. 

 

Relevance of Seminar

Cytology is an important diagnostic tool.

 

Leaning Outcomes

Revision of techniques for fine needle aspiration biopsy and preparation of smears for cytology of aspirates, including body fluid samples.

Examination of prepared cytology slides of skin lumps, lymph nodes and effusions.

About the Speaker

 

Professor Emeritus Bruce Parry

Bruce taught clinical pathology at the Melbourne Veterinary School for 3 decades. 

He 'retired' in December 2013 and now runs workshops for veterinarians and vet nurses in haematology and cytology.
