Whether you're a veterinarian or veterinary student, you can join online now.

Simply complete all the information details we request and pay online with your credit card to submit your application. You'll hear from the AVA within 14 working days to let you know that your application was successful.

Veterinarian - with a qualification that allows you to be registered in Australia (you don't have to be actually registered, just eligible).

Veterinarian - with a qualification that allows you to be registered in Australia but require a graduate, low income or spouse concession (you don't have to be actually registered, just eligible)

Veterinarian - with some other qualification but not recognised in Australia. You can become an associate member providing a full member nominates you. Please note that your application will be passed to the AVA board before approval.

Veterinary student - currently enrolled in a veterinary science undergraduate degree at an Australian university and interested in the member benefits offered. Candidates for the National Veterinary Exam can also apply to become student members.

Veterinary student - currently enrolled in a veterinary science undergraduate degree at an Australian university and scoping out what the AVA is about.

Overseas member - a veterinarian living overseas with a qualification that allows you to be registered in Australia. Please note that your application will be passed to the AVA board before approval.

Not a veterinarian - non-veterinarians with a close professional association with veterinarians may be approved as associate members. They must be nominated for membership by a division or special interest group. Please note that your application will be passed to the AVA board before approval.
