Full members

If you have a qualification that makes you eligible for registration as a veterinarian in Australia, you can apply for full membership. Click here to download application form.

Overseas members

Those eligible for full membership currently living overseas can choose a lower-cost overseas membership option. Click here to download overseas application form.

Student members

If you're currently enrolled in veterinary science at an Australian university, you can become an AVA member. If you're a candidate for the National Veterinary Exam you can also apply to be a student member. Click here to download student application form.

Associate members

If you have a veterinary qualification that means you're not eligible for registration as a veterinarian in Australia you can apply for associate membership if you have an AVA member to nominate you. Non-veterinarians with a close professional association with veterinarians may also be approved as associate members. They must be nominated for membership by a division or special interest group.
