Cyclone Debbie - support for members in QLD and NSW

Cyclone Debbie has caused significant damage to parts of northern Queensland this week, and flooding in South East Queensland and Northern NSW. The AVA has been contacting members who are in affected areas in northern QLD and based on the information we have received to-date, we can confirm that all members are safe. However, at this stage it is too early to assess the full extent of the damage to property.

We will continue to try and contact those who are in high impact areas. Members who are or know of someone who has been affected by Cyclone Debbie can get in touch with the AVA Queensland Division office so that we can provide support as needed. Please contact the AVA Queensland Division office on 0458 301 296, 07 3422 5300 or email - avaqld@ava.com.au.

Members can also contact the AVA emergency telephone number 0439 628 898.

With flooding conditions expected to continue, you can download the AVA’s tips on ways to keep your vet practice and patients safe.
