Supporting your continuing professional development in 2018

The Australian Veterinary Association is an essential partner for every veterinarian at each stage of their career. Our Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program has been developed and curated by a dedicated team of volunteer members and staff and has been tailored by special interest and region to assist the needs of our members.

With our profession’s dedication to life-long learning, we are very grateful for the hardworking special interest and division committees that prepare the program each year. It is this passion and commitment that makes AVA’s CPD program outstanding value for its members.

AVA is also very proud that all monies raised through the program can provide more training and services to our members. For 2018 it will be a privilege to present over 200 courses, conferences and events for AVA members throughout the country.

The handbook is intended to assist you in getting organised for 2018, and we encourage you to use it to plan the learning needs for yourself and your team in the coming year.

Make the most of the services available to you as a member, so you can continue to develop and nurture your clinical skills and to assist you in your career goals and your personal effectiveness.

The social and wellbeing programs that we have built into our activities are as important as the CPD itself, and are designed to give members time to reflect, share experiences and learning in an informal setting.

We continually update the handbook throughout the year, and you can register for events through the AVA website. View the range of learning opportunities available in the 2018 CPD Handbook.

I look forward to seeing you at our CPD events throughout 2018.
