NSW Veterinarians are invited to participate in a research study that aims to understand current passive livestock disease surveillance practices, the application of syndromic surveillance and evaluate the effectiveness of recent emergency animal disease (EAD) training and education activities for private and government veterinarians and para-veterinarians in NSW.

It is with great pleasure, and perhaps some trepidation, that I write this President’s Report after taking over the reins from Dr Zachary Lederhose as AVA NSW’s Division President.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of the NSW Division President for the 2024-2026 term.

The AVA has prepared a pre-budget submission for the 2024-25 NSW Government budget. The AVA makes six recommendations to the NSW Government to support NSW veterinarians.

We are pleased to inform members of the results of the recent Division Elections for the AVA NSW Division Committee.
