With the support of AVA and the Australian Companion Animal Health Foundation, researchers at James Cook University are investigating the incidence of ABCB1 genetic mutations in Australian cats. The researchers are seeking assistance in recruiting cats that may have this mutation.
Applications are now being accepted for the scholarship, which offers $10,000 per year for 3 years.
With the election of a new Queensland government, the AVA is eager to engage with incoming parliamentarians.
