A summary of the AVA Advocacy work that was undertaken at QLD Division level in 2023.
Veterinarians aiding the government’s response in emergency (disaster) situations is essential for animal, and human, welfare. For emergency responses that are coordinated by other stakeholders, the AVA will facilitate communications through our member channels to request the assistance of private veterinarians.
The AVA Queensland Division, with assistance from the VNCA, are undertaking a project to gather information from those working in Queensland veterinary practice regarding the status of Q fever vaccinations.
