As we race towards the end of the year, it is a time to reflect and consider achievements and opportunities as well as recognise where changes can be made for the next year. I hope that you have had a fulfilling 2024, achieved some goals, made some connections and enjoyed a break with friends or family.
The AVA welcomes this Inquiry and looks forward to supporting the Committee in its exploration of the issues the profession faces.
September has been a busy month and has flown by, how is it October already!? I had the privilege of attending the SAFE CRC (Solving Antimicrobial Resistance in Agribusiness, Food and Environments) Summit at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide. On first look at the title it might seem a bit dry, yet it was an incredibly interesting event with diversity in the insights across industries. 
The SA Environmental Protection Agency has recently announced that veterinary nurses and technicians will now be eligible to apply for x-ray licences.
