The SA Environmental Protection Agency has recently announced that veterinary nurses and technicians will now be eligible to apply for x-ray licences.
The SA committee is working to bring an event before the end of the year, focusing on an opportunity for Q and A with the VSBSA registrar and the AVA to reflect on 12 months of change, where there is still scope for improvement and get answers about the tricky things we encounter in business.
Congratulations to all those who have recently passed membership examinations, it is a significant achievement, and it is wonderful to hear about the growing veterinary skill base in SA.
End of Financial year is here already! I hope that all the stocktaking has not driven you or your teams crazy and that you are excited about any new equipment purchases that have been snuck in to help with those last minute tax deductions.
Winter is upon us and thankfully with it a little bit of rain! I was pleased to have the opportunity to attend the council of presidents meeting in Melbourne as part of the AVA conference last week. It was great to hear the similar challenges faced by all the states as well as what is planned for the next 12 months.
