The Western Australian Division is active in lobbying government on issues relating to animal welfare and veterinary practice in Western Australia.

The Division holds an annual conference and trade fair. Educational and social events are also held through the WA Branches.

The Division actively participates in the AVA Graduate Mentor Program, where new graduates are partnered with a volunteer mentor to support them in their first year in practice.

I hope this month finds you not just well, but THRIVING. The recent AVA Conference in Melbourne themed “Living Well” was a resounding success thanks to the participating and enthusiasm of so many of our dedicated colleagues.
I hope this newsletter finds you well and thriving in current invaluable roles. This month I wanted to share updates on our advocacy efforts, extend an invitation for new committee members, and highlight some upcoming conferences that promise to enrich your professional journey.
Round 4 of the Animal Welfare Grant Program opened on the 15 April 2024, and will close on 13 May 2024.
A huge thank you to all our colleagues who staffed emergency and on call clinics over the March long weekend and Easter holiday.
