About the Australian Cattle Veterinarians
The Australian Cattle Veterinarians (ACV) is one of the largest special interest groups of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA). The ACV have been going for almost 50 years, and in this time the long history of dedicated and engaged Executive Committees’ have been bringing practical and cutting edge continuing professional development (CPD) to our members, along with developing tools and accreditation systems that are the envy of other vets around Australia, and the world. The ACV is committed to creating conferences that provide timely, practical information, along with a great social program that will be the highlight of your year!
Our program has something for all our members from the mixed practitioner veterinarians in private practice, to the veterinarians working in the government sector, in research facilities, in academia as well as veterinary students who all share a passion and interest in bovine medicine.
ACV members are integral to the agricultural supply chain in Australia, providing crucial services to Australia’s agricultural producers, while also playing a key role in disease surveillance, securing our biosecurity status and protecting ongoing productivity in all facets of the Australian cattle industry.
