Meet International Keynote: Jerzy Gawor
Jerzy Gawor qualified as a veterinarian in Poland in 1992 and became a specialist in surgery in 1997. A decade later, he discovered a passion for dentistry. He subsequently specialised in veterinary dentistry and in 2015 became a Diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental college and the European Veterinary Dental College. His key interests are dentistry, head and neck surgery and oncology.
He has been instrumental in promoting the importance of animal dental health in Europe, and China where he also teaches. He is the author of over 120 peer-reviewed papers in veterinary dentistry.
Jerzy is Past President of the Federation of European Companion Animal Veterinary Associations and President Elect of the European Veterinary Dental College.
When not immersed in veterinary pursuits, Jerzy enjoys playing volley-ball, reading, restoring antique furniture and spending time with his family which consists of a fellow veterinarian, three children, three cats and one dog.
