Keen to optimise your small animal skill set?
The Small Animal Stream offers both breath and depth, with a focus on practical problem solving in practice.
Keynote speaker Catherine Sturgeon will share insights into the management of soft-tissue surgery challenges – from optimising your caesarean technique to approaching the sometimes-dreaded biliary tract. WA locals Katrin Swindells will address challenging critical care conundrums, from perioperative management of the GDV patient to what drug to give the vomiting dog, while Zoe Lenard will help you get the best from your imaging equipment. Leon Warne will introduce the new Australian Small Animal Veterinarians (ASAV) standards of anaesthesia care guidelines. Gabriele Rossi, Carla Appelgrein, Aaron Moles and Jason Stayt round out this popular program.
Join recent and not-so-recent graduates at the ASAV Recent Graduate Dinner on Tuesday, May 7. Hosted on site in the Bellevue Lounge at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, this event is complementary for student and 2016 to 2018 graduates thanks to sponsorship from Hills Pet Nutrition. It is an opportunity to share stories – the good, the bad, the ugly and the downright bizarre – with supportive colleagues. You may possibly cry, you will laugh, but you will absolutely be among friends.
