Food Security Day

The Food Security, Biodiversity and Welfare day-program on Thursday 9 May will discuss a topic of critical importance to humanity which is confronting us now.  Increased food production has traditionally involved expanding areas of land under agriculture and intensification of production methods. These expansive solutions are no longer unconstrained as boundaries have been met or approached for water, greenhouse gases, deforestation, topsoil management, biodiversity and welfare.

The speakers in this program will provide a knowledge of the challengers and opportunities we face to sustainably feed more than 9.8 billion people by 2050.
