Zoe is a dynamic radiologist with a passion for connection and excellence in both the radiology and veterinary community. Working in private referral practice in Perth (Animalius), she also has extensive teaching experience at both the university and post-graduate level. She is heavily involved with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists and is working with the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council to make vet practice more sustainable. She loves the tropics and wishes she lived in Darwin.
Dr. Michelle McArthur BA (Psych) Hons, D (Clin) Psych is an Associate Professor in the School of Animal and Veterinary Science at the University of Adelaide. She developed and leads the clinical communication and wellbeing program across the veterinary bioscience and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees. She is called upon nationally and internationally to provide skills-based communication workshops, mental health and wellbeing seminars and consult on curriculum development. She also actively researches and publishes in these fields. Michelle is a practicing clinical psychologist. In her spare time, she loves being with her family, friends as well as exploring new places and foods.
Rae started her working life as a Veterinary Nurse and worked in Small Animal practice. She currently works at Hill's Pet Nutrition Australia, has had various roles during her time at Hill's, and is currently Hill’s Professional Engagement Executive. Rae has always had a passion for canine behaviour that was cemented while owning a very anxious Staffy. Her interest led her to complete the Delta Canine Behaviour Training Accreditation. She has developed and run puppy preschool programs in veterinary practice as well as in-home behaviour training consultations for dogs of all ages. Over the years she has provided her home for foster dogs with either behaviour or medical issues (or both) and her whole family has found rehabilitating them a very rewarding experience. Rae’s passion is not only pets but veterinary nurses, she has developed Hill’s National Veterinary Nurse Programme and coordinates Hill’s Australia vet nurse CE programs both online and offline with many being replicated throughout Hill’s globally. She is currently working with industry partners to encourage more nurses into the consult room to enhance client and patient care, vet nurse job satisfaction and to free up the veterinarian’s time.
Rae is a Certified Mental Health First Aider, an active member of the VNCA and the Delta Institute and is currently undertaking the NAVC Human-Animal Bond Certification.
Sue graduated from Murdoch Veterinary School and following an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery and a residency in Clinical Pathology obtained a research honours degree in Clinical Biochemistry and a PhD in trace element Clinical Biochemistry, Nutrition and Toxicology. For 15 years Sue was the managing partner and senior clinical pathologist at Vetpath Laboratory Services in Western Australia and now runs an Australian wide in-practice clinical pathology consultancy service. She is an Adjunct Ass Professor in Clinical Pathology at Murdoch University and teaches the final year veterinary students. Sue has a special interest in Equine Clinical Pathology and optimising and aiding all forms of inhouse veterinary Clinical Pathology. Sue is also the Scientific Convenor for the Australian Veterinary Association and in her spare time she runs a White Dorper Sheep Stud, takes care of 400 roses and plays with her very spoilt Australian Stock horses.

I spent a year in small animal practice before joining the department in 2011. I have been working in animal health surveillance for the department for the past four years in domestic as well as offshore programs. I am currently working as a field/policy veterinary officer for NAQS in Darwin.
