While the NSW Government is commencing an opening up from today, it is important to remind your clients that this is not a 'back to normal' situation. Veterinary practices are still required to operate under their COVID-Safe plans.

Last week the Victorian Premier announced new requirements that all authorised workers who cannot work from home will be required to be vaccinated. First vaccine doses are required by 15 October and both doses from the 26 November.
With Tweed Shire and Byron Shire in NSW going into a 7 day lockdown, the Queensland Government has declared the areas a hotspot and restricted border crossings for people who are living in those areas or have been in those areas recently.
The AVA wrote to the Queensland Premier at the start of September on behalf of the veterinary profession seeking free movement of veterinary professionals across the border.
