Dental radiology made easy 2 CPD Points

Dental radiology allows us to see what is actually happening below the gum line where most oral pathology exists. Without dental radiology we are guessing or missing!

Who should attend

Vets, vet nurses, practice managers and/or all members of the clinic team.

Learning outcome

  • Learn how to take a diagnostic set of whole mouth radiographs in dogs and cats: simply, easily and repeatably.
  • Practice interpreting radiographs of common clinical problems and diseases, and
  • Discuss their treatment outcomes.

Rod has been involved with Veterinary Dentistry since the inception of the Australian Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS) in 1990, serving as its inaugural Treasurer for 4 years and then President for 8 years. Along with three others, he was one of the initial group to be admitted to College Membership in 1993, by examination in Veterinary Dentistry. Rod ran a general practice for 20+ years and for the past 12+ years has been working a combination of general practice and the provision of a mobile veterinary dental service to the Melbourne metro area (and sometimes regionally) both treating vet dental cases and in-house teaching on all aspects of vet dentistry.
