Successful vets are more than knowledgeable technicians and AVA wants you to be one of them. If you are looking to be more than clinically competent, we have the professional development program for you. Small group learning and peer support with a trained veterinary facilitator. Confidential discussions. Monthly sessions held online so anyone can participate which are suitable for all career stages, clinical or non-clinical roles.

Further details

The AVA Reflect and Grow pilot program consists of four, monthly 1.5hr facilitated sessions online via Zoom. A link will be sent prior to the course commencement. Each session will be guided by a trained facilitator to ensure success.

Numbers are strictly limited to ensure the best, confidential learning experience possible. Swapping between groups is not possible once commenced as group stability is important.

Dr Catherine Warburton
Cathy graduated from Murdoch University in 1989 as a veterinarian. She worked as a clinician, trainer and manager in private, university and corporate practices for 25 years, mostly in the pressure cooker environment of Emergency and Critical Care. Cathy’s experiences as a manager, along with her own trials and tribulations around mental health, created a passion for training and empowering people to increase their psychological resources and well-being. Cathy runs a business, Make Headway, which is committed to advancing veterinary mental health and well-being.
