When do I take a tooth out?

In small animal dentistry, we come across mouths affected by a wide range of disease states. Teeth sometimes "look" bad, but are they really? Do we need to remove all teeth that aren't quite right? This talk will run through a number of scenarios where we have to make a choice about the future of a tooth - should it stay or should it go?

How do I take a tooth out?

Once we have made the decision to remove a tooth, how do we go about that? Some teeth are relatively "easy" to remove, whilst others are the cause of many a sleep interrupting nightmare! This talk will run through the basics of extractions and go through a step by step demonstration of the surgical approach to tooth removal in our small animal patients.
