Dr Deborah Osborne
Debbie completed veterinary science at Sydney University in 1979. After graduation, she worked in a small animal / equine practice in Sydney before travelling overseas, including locum work in England. On returning to Australia, she spent 6 months in small animal / equine practice in Sydney, then 6 months as the small animal vet in a mixed practice in western Victoria. In January 1984, she took what she thought would be another 6-month position in a mixed practice in Alice Springs. She bought the practice in 1988 and it is now 100% small animals.
Debbie has served on the NT Veterinary Board and held many positions in the AVA, including NT policy councilor and president, ASAV(A) committee member, president and treasurer, chair of the organizing committee for FASAVA Congress 2017 and ASAV(A) delegate to WSAVA. Within WSAVA, Debbie has been a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, the Leadership and Nominations Committee and the Financial Advisory Committee, including 2 years as chair of the FAC.
Debbie is married with two adult children.
