Learning outcome
This webinar will include an overview of the bitch reproductive cycle, with emphasis on the late anoestrus, pro-oestrus and oestrus periods. There will be a brief introduction to ovulation and breeding timing, which will be built on in subsequent presentations.
Reproductive anatomy of the bitch will be revised, with clear explanation of the clinical relevance of structures in relation to the practice of transcervical insemination. Graphics and endoscopic video will be used to provide visual association. The video will provide an introduction to the process of TCI catheter placement through the cervix.
