On-Demand | ASAV Webinar | Heartworm Disease in General Practice: An update | Adj Assoc Prof Fiona Meyers 1 CPD Points

Overview

After two decades where heartworm disease has been infrequently encountered by most small animal practitioners, heartworm disease has recently re-emerged and prevalence in Australia is increasing. New challenges in general practice include the accurate interpretation of in-house and laboratory diagnostic tests and the effective implementation and adaptation of the American Heartworm Society treatment protocols to individual patients across a spectrum of disease stages including those which may be diagnosed late in life or have co-morbid conditions.
