Your professional association is a great place to stay on top of the latest veterinary knowledge and news while helping you achieve success in your career.

For practical help about your rights in the workplace, the AVA provides a free human resources helpline.

A program of events from around the AVA  keeps you at the cutting edge of your profession and building on the skills you already have. At the same time, you can keep in touch with colleagues who can help you succeed. Or join our online discussion forum to find out information and discuss ideas with other like-minded veterinary professionals.

Our comprehensive continuing professional development program offers a range of opportunities to learn new skills and grow as a veterinarian, and we have thousands of resources available to you.

If you’re feeling the pressure at work or home, it might help to talk to someone who understands what it means to be a veterinarian. Our free, confidential telephone support service can provide advice, or just an opportunity to talk to someone about what's on your mind.

AVA members also receive a premium reduction for professional indemnity insurance provided through Guild Insurance. For those who don’t own a practice, the reduction can be as high as 50%.

There are also discounts available on a range of other products and services, as well as helpful free phone advice on finance and superannuation.

And when you decide to work and travel overseas, a low-cost overseas online membership keeps you connected with the profession back home.

Ready to join the AVA?

We look forward to welcoming you at your professional association.
