As the only national organisation representing the profession, the AVA needs your voice to speak for all the nation’s veterinarians.

Our essential policy and advocacy work make the voice of veterinarians heard by governments at all levels. With active involvement in veterinary education and workforce policy, the AVA helps mould the future of the profession.

The Australian Veterinary Journal and the AVA Annual Conference are highly respected vehicles for publication of your scientific research, and your membership also offers great discounts on other veterinary journals and books from Blackwell Publishing. You may also find some valuable support through the AVA's continuing professional development opportunities.

With a special interest group to represent your area of expertise, the AVA is the place to communicate with each other and the rest of the profession.

For practical help about your rights in the workplace, the AVA also provides a free human resources helpline. There is also a free telephone service for financial and superannuation advice.
