Here's what your fellow students have to say:

"The benefits of being an active student member of the AVA are endless. It has given me the opportunity to network with students and veterinarians from around Australia, and given me the resources and support I need to thrive during my studies and throughout my future career. Being able to join your profession before you graduate is truly invaluable." A. Francis, The University of Adelaide

"My biggest motivation for becoming a student member of the AVA was to gain access to all the learning resources and Special Interest Groups, what I got was so much more. On the one hand, I get my own monthly hard copy of the Australian Veterinary Journal and the Australian Cattle Veterinary Journal, which is great because it means I keep up to date with what's going on in the vet world beyond the university.

There are also webinars and countless other resources I can access to enhance my learning as a vet student and future professional. On the other hand, I get to network with industry experts, current practitioners and vet students from all over Australia, so my support network is always growing. I absolutely recommend students to join and get involved with the AVA; the experience you come away with is priceless." A. Rheault, The University of Sydney

"I love being a member, it makes me feel like I am a part of something bigger. The inclusive nature of the AVA ensures that everyone is able to speak up and be a part of ongoing movements in veterinary medicine and welfare. The conferences are fantastic and I have formed strong bonds between other members and students that now act as a pillar of support as I transition into the workplace. If you want to be surrounded by enthusiastic, highly educated and forward-thinking people, and feel like you are part of a family, become an AVA member. Its worth it!" A. Langfield, Charles Sturt University

"As a student member of AVA, I have been afforded a vast range of opportunities to explore the veterinary industry outside the university curriculum. This includes access to special interest groups, hard copies of the Australian Veterinary Journal and numerous conferences. Also, being covered by Guild insurance gives me the peace of mind to gain further practical experience in areas I'm passionate about. I now feel more ready than ever to enter the profession as a result. The benefits of membership have been invaluable to me and I couldn't recommend it highly enough." S. Kiernan, University of Queensland
