High Pathogenicity Avian Influenza (HPAI) - Biosecurity Alert
Two Biosecurity Queensland initiatives were recently announced by Minister for Agricultural Industry Development and Fisheries and Minister for Rural Communities Mark Furner.

Queensland’s Biosecurity Sciences Laboratory (BSL) provides world-class testing and diagnostics for animal pests and diseases of terrestrial and aquatic livestock, bees and wildlife.
‘Infection with Ehrlichia canis’ has been removed from the national list of notifiable animal diseases and canine ehrlichiosis is no longer considered a notifiable incident in Queensland. Disease management is now focused on tick prevention and early detection and treatment.
