AVA QLD Division Report April 2024
02 Apr 2024Hoping everyone had a relaxing and chocolate filled Easter break.
There have been some changes within the AVA Queensland Division, I have joined the committee as President for 2024-2025. I am very excited about the opportunity and look forward to catching up with as many of you as I can.
I would like to thank Dr Ben Brightman for all the great work he and the committee have done; and look forward to working with the committee in continuing to advocate for the profession and its members.
To introduce myself, I am a 2015 James Cook University graduate. After my first few years in practice in northern Victoria, I returned back home to rural North-West Queensland as a mixed animal vet. I have worked in regional-rural veterinary practices across Queensland. I am passionate about driving our profession forward, supporting and encouraging new and recent graduates in the profession and strengthening our voice in the advocacy space.
I hope to continue the standard set by our previous Division Presidents and committee members.
The 2024-2025 committee is:
Dr Regan Lynch (Division President)
Dr Benjamin Brightman (Past President)
Dr Graham Lauridsen
Dr Anna Sri
Dr Brendan Brieffies
