QLD State Election – get involved

Information and resources will be provided in the coming weeks on how QLD Division members can “get involved” to advocate for the following matters that the QLD Division Committee have identified as those of highest concern to QLD members.

• Increasing Biosecurity support for Emergency Animal Diseases (EAD), including increased funding for QLD Government Veterinary Positions especially in relation to emerging or exotic diseases, biosecurity, and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
• Rural & Regional Veterinary Workforce
• Veterinary Student and New Graduate supports – Build and Retain the Veterinary Workforce
• Value of Vets, including support for the provision of public good by the veterinary profession; including Biosecurity, Disasters, Wildlife, Unowned animals, Vulnerable & Disadvantaged Communities
• Support dedicated mental health programs for veterinarians and para-veterinary professionals
