  • Help wildlife beat heat stress during extreme weather events. Place shallow water bowls around your garden and add some rocks or sticks in the water for smaller animals, in case they fall in.
  • Set up shady areas in your garden so that native animals can stay out of the sun.
  • Do not approach the animals and keep pets away.

If you find an injured native animal call Wildlife Victoria on 03 8400 7300. Wildlife Victoria operates 24 hours, 7 days per week, or contact your local wildlife shelter, carer or vet.
