Recall notice: Forthyron Flavoured Tablets

Dechra initiated a voluntary recall on 14 March 2024 for Forthyron 200 µg and 400µg Flavoured Tablets that were sold nationwide between 17 October 2023 to 13 March 2024.

The voluntary recall for the product has been initiated due to a lower-than-expected result during routine stability testing, indicating that the following batches will not reach registered shelf life.

Forthyron 200µg Flavoured Tablets from batch number 3H11

Forthyron 400µg Flavoured Tablets from batch numbers 3H12, 3H13, 3L34

There is a low hazard associated with this recall. Product efficacy may be impacted.

What to do:

Veterinary clinics are to quarantine the affected batches and return their remaining inventory to their veterinary wholesaler.
