Course summary

This course provides advanced training tailored for veterinary professionals seeking to integrate Evidence-Based Veterinary Medicine (EBVM) to make informed judgements in veterinary care incorporating the needs of the animal, the client, and the veterinarian using an evidence-based approach. 

Learning outcomes
  1. Effectively access the literature to stay up to date in clinical practice; 
  2. Apply EBVM to make informed judgements in veterinary care (incorporating the needs of the animal, the client and the veterinarian) 
  3. Structure an important and answerable clinical question and conduct a search to source relevant literature for a topic 
  4. Critically analyse published literature determining its validity (internal and external) and applicability to answering a clinically relevant question 
  5. Critically evaluate the application of EBVM in clinical practice
