Professional Indemnity Insurance for AVA Student Members

This application form is for AVA Student Members - students currently enrolled in an approved veterinary degree in Australia and completing registration through the AVE.

This insurance provides professional indemnity cover for student members against civil liability claims arising from activities undertaken as a student veterinarian. This includes unpaid professional services performed in a private capacity, provided they directly relate to your approved veterinary course of study, up until you graduate.

Coverage is subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions outlined in the policy. Please refer to the policy wording and policy schedule for full details. For further information, please contact Guild Insurance Limited.

If you require Professional Indemnity cover after graduation, appropriate coverage can be sought directly from Guild Insurance.

I understand that although the policy is issued on a `claims made' basis, I can make a claim under the policy after it expires, provided I have advised the insurer of facts that might give rise to a claim against me as soon as was reasonably practicable after I became aware of those facts, but before the expiry of the Period of Cover.
