Wellbeing Science for Veterinarians

 

Course summary

This course provides opportunities to identify, reflect critically and apply the personal and professional skills required to maintain individual wellbeing and positive engagement with others within a veterinary workplace. It provides advanced training in the personal and workplace determinants of wellbeing, and explores strategies to improve wellbeing, culminating in the development of a personal well-being plan. 

Learning outcomes
  1. Identify the key factors that positively impact personal and workplace wellbeing and apply these in veterinary practice using an evidence-based approach. 
  2. Recognise and understand specific veterinary industry wellbeing and mental health challenges, and identify practical strategies to mitigate these in veterinary workplaces.
  3. Apply the knowledge gained to design a personal wellbeing plan addressing your wellbeing goals.
