The Australian Cattle Veterinarians have a number of awards and scholarships to recognise the achievements of cattle veterinarians.

Jakob Malmo Bovine Practitioner Award

The Jakob Malmo Bovine Practitioner Award (previously the Bovine Practitioner of the Year Award) is your opportunity to nominate and recognise a Australian Cattle Veterinarians member who, in your opinion, has had a significant impact on your part of the profession, industry, and community.

QSML George Osborne Memorial Lectures

The George Osborne Memorial Lectures are open to interested members who are either students or postgraduate members of up to 15 years from graduation and who have not presented at an Australian Cattle Veterinarians conference previously.

The lectures are named in honour of the late George Osborne, who was a prominent veterinary educator and cattle veterinarian, remembered for his communication skills and efforts in developing and encouraging young veterinarians towards a career in cattle practice.

Apiam ‘Buiatrician in Training’ Award & Guild Insurance Student Volunteer Program

The Apiam ‘Buiatrician in Training’ Award and Guild Insurance Student Volunteer Program are our annual student scholarships. These scholarships are part work, part education, part fun. The recipients are the student helpers for the Australian Cattle Veterinarians conference, assisting with the running of the conference as well as having the opportunity to attend lectures and social events.
