On-Demand ASAV Webinar | Exotics – what do we have to offer our exotic patients when we see dogs and cats 99% of the time? | Dr Susan Beths

11 March, 2026 @ 8:00 pm - 12 March, 2027 @ 9:00 pm AEDT

Free - $50.00

Most veterinary practices have been built and set up with dogs and cats in mind, but what happens when exotic patients present? Do they just fit in around your other patients or are you finding they need something a little different? Exotic animals make up about 20% of the pet market and the number of them seeking veterinary care is increasing. Therefore, the likelihood of a client presenting with a more unusual pet is increasing, and this can put additional stress on clinics not used to these exciting patients. Just as we can make small adjustments to our clinic to make them more cat-friendly, the same can be done for exotic pets.

Who should attend

Learning outcomes

This talk will go over some of the ways you can help exotic patients, clients and maybe staff feel a little more comfortable when they present. We will touch on what are some of the common presentations you may see and therefore, what you will need and where to find support.
