Conservation Biology

For vets passionate about wildlife conservation

The Australian Veterinary Conservation Biology Group brings together veterinarians with an interest in wildlife health, conservation, disease management and species protection. Members work across clinical practice, research, wildlife rehabilitation, government, conservation programs and academia, connected by a shared commitment to animal welfare, ecosystem health and evidence-based conservation.

AVCB supports veterinarians through professional connection, advocacy and education, while promoting sustainable veterinary practice and responsible wildlife management. The group also works to strengthen understanding of conservation and wildlife health issues within both the veterinary profession and the broader community.

Members gain access to a network of veterinarians, along with opportunities for collaboration, learning and involvement in advocacy and policy discussions relevant to the field.

Why join AVCB?
