Greyhound and Sporting dogs

Experts in the health and welfare of greyhounds, working and sporting dogs

The Australian Greyhound, Working and Sporting Dog Veterinarians Group is a special interest group of the Australian Veterinary Association, regularly providing advice and assistance to the AVA and various state regulatory bodies. Members include veterinarians from Australia, UK, USA, and New Zealand.

Member veterinarians have expertise in the health and welfare of greyhounds, working and sporting dogs and provide their expertise to owners, trainers and racing organisations.

Each year, the Group organises continuing education to ensure greyhound, working and sporting dog veterinarians have access to the latest knowledge and can constantly develop their clinical skills.

The Group also keeps members informed about news in racing circles and is a vital source of health and welfare information for all those involved with greyhounds.

The AGSWDV is led by a group of dedicated volunteers of your peers. Professionals who understand the realities of cattle practice and work to represent your interests, guide priorities, and shape the future of the Special Interest Group.
