BIOCHECK

Enhancing biosecurity planning on farm.

BIOCHECK™ is a veterinarian‑led biosecurity planning program that helps cattle producers develop farm‑specific biosecurity plans aligned with Livestock Production Assurance (LPA) and Johne’s disease accreditation requirements.

Delivered by Australian Cattle Veterinarians members, BIOCHECK™ guides structured discussions to identify major biosecurity risks and document how those risks are being managed on individual farms. Plans are based on nationally recognised Animal Health Australia Farm Biosecurity templates and should be used alongside resources available at www.farmbiosecurity.com.au.

BIOCHECK™ is not an audited quality assurance program and does not guarantee protection from pests or disease. Instead, it provides documented evidence that key biosecurity risks have been considered and appropriate, farm‑specific management strategies are in place.

Veterinarians support risk identification and planning, while decisions on risk management remain with the producer. Plans can be completed efficiently—often in as little as 7 minutes—making BIOCHECK™ a practical, accessible biosecurity solution.

Australian Cattle Veterinarians members can download BIOCHECK™ software, sample plans, and supporting FAQs via the member portal.

The BIOCHECK software is available to vets only
