Bain Fallon 2025: A huge success on the Sunshine Coast

A world-class scientific program, an exciting social calendar, and lifelong connections. The 45th Bain Fallon Memorial Lectures have drawn to a close, marking a memorable experience on the Sunshine Coast.

The event brought together 446 industry professionals, including 245 veterinarians and veterinary nurses, creating an atmosphere brimming with collaboration, energy, and the joy of shared learning.

The sold-out exhibition floor, featuring 48 enthusiastic supporters, was a hive of activity throughout the week. Delegates and partners alike relished the opportunity for meaningful conversations that sparked fresh perspectives and fostered deeper professional relationships.

The week launched with a bang at a 2-day reproduction workshop west of Brisbane, where participants enjoyed hands-on access to cutting-edge global expertise. International keynote speaker Professor Margo Macpherson set a high bar with her world-class insights, paving the way for a week rich in knowledge sharing and professional growth. Excitement was high as delegates then travelled together to the Sunshine Coast for the official start of Bain Fallon.

The CEVA Party Night at Aussie World was a highlight, with delegates enjoying a night of laughter, friendly competition in sideshow alley, and dodgem car showdowns. The unmistakably Aussie theme (kangaroo hats and all!) made it a night to remember.

As the week came to a close, veterinary nurses enjoyed dedicated sessions at the Equine Nurses Conference, while the ever-popular Randlab Gala Dinner brought nostalgia and energy with its ‘80s and ‘90s theme – a fitting finale to an extraordinary Bain Fallon.

The AVA and EVA thanks keynote speakers Drs Margo Macpherson, Chris Pearce, Nicole du Toit, and Laura Nath for their exceptional contributions in preparing and delivering an outstanding suite of lectures and proceedings.

Congratulations to the EVA Executive Committee under the leadership of Dr Rosemary Cuming, (Education Chair and Scientific Convenor), for delivering this unforgettable week for equine veterinarians.
