The Commercial Poultry Veterinarians Group is a special interest group of the AVA and has a close association with the Australasian Veterinary Poultry Association (AVPA), an independent association of scientists with an interest in the health and welfare of commercial poultry. Members of the Commercial Poultry Veterinarians Group are automatically eligible to become members of the AVPA. To become a member of the AVPA after joining the CPV, please email secretary.avpa@gmail.com declaring you are a CPV member and that you wish to join the AVPA.

The Commercial Poultry Veterinarians in conjunction with the Australasian Veterinary Poultry Association, hold a Scientific Conference every two years featuring an extensive scientific program over two days. The conference features local and international speakers presenting on topics such as poultry vaccinations, infectious diseases and welfare.
