The Commercial Poultry Veterinarians Group is a special interest group of the AVA and has a close association with the Australasian Veterinary Poultry Association (AVPA), an independent association of scientists with an interest in the health and welfare of commercial poultry. Members of the Commercial Poultry Veterinarians Group are automatically members of AVPA.
The Commercial Poultry Veterinarians in conjunction with the Australasian Veterinary Poultry Association, hold a Scientific Conference every two years featuring an extensive scientific program over two days. The conference features local and international speakers presenting on topics such as poultry vaccinations, infectious diseases and welfare.
