Topic Area is the thematic category that describes what a piece of content is actually about. It is important for both member search and SEO- when members filter content by topic, or when search engines index the page, Topic Area is a key signal. A piece of content can have both a Special Interest Group and a Topic Area. For example, an equine post can be tagged Equine (discipline) and Clinical Practice > Surgery (topic area).
