- Biography
Becky Dickinson is a veterinarian, entrepreneur, educator and advocate for the future of rural veterinary practice. After graduating from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2006, she emigrated to Australia and has since worked across regional Victoria and southeast Australia, predominantly in dairy cattle practice.
Following completion of a three-year Dairy Residency through the University of Melbourne and a Master's in Veterinary Science, Becky developed a passion for veterinary education and graduate development. Recognising the growing challenges facing early-career rural veterinarians and the practices employing them, she founded Veterinary Support Services (VSS) in 2022.
Veterinary Support Services exists to shape a rural veterinary profession that is valued, supported and relevant - one that is indispensable to Australian agriculture and rural communities. Through design and delivery of innovative initiatives that strengthen graduate pathways, support veterinary businesses and foster collaboration between veterinarians, farmers, industry and government, her work focuses on building clinical capability, confidence, professional networks and long-term workforce sustainability.
Becky's leadership has been recognised through multiple successful grant-funded programs and by being named the 2026 AgriFutures Rural Women's Award Victorian State Winner and National Finalist. She is passionate about challenging traditional approaches to veterinary workforce development, creating sustainable solutions that strengthen the profession while supporting the industries and communities that rely upon it.
