Authorised implanter course for veterinarians – VIC
If you’re a registered veterinarian and you wish to apply to become a microchip implanter in Victoria, you must have the correct qualifications. This AVA course is your step closer to obtaining your qualification and is in accordance with the Domestic Animals Regulations 2025 and Domestic Animals Act 1994. As a registered veterinarian, once you complete the requirements of this course, you will be able to apply online for your Authorised Implanter Number (AIN) through Agriculture Victoria (AV) Connect. If you have relocated from Queensland to Victoria and you have an existing Queensland accreditation, you may qualify for recertification pricing (for AVA member’s recertifying is free). Who should attend
This course is for veterinarians who practice in Victoria and are looking to apply to become a microchip implanter in Victoria.
Learning outcomes
This course is for veterinarians only and includes:
- online module with a series of videos
- assessment containing 15 multiple choice questions
Once you have completed the course requirements, you will immediately gain access to your Certificate of Completion. From here you can apply online for your Authorised Implanter Number (AIN) through Agriculture Victoria (AV) Connect.
