- Dr Amy Williamson
- Biography
Amy graduated from the University of Queensland in the year 2008.
The following year she completed an internship in Equine Medicine, Surgery and Reproduction at Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital in Shepparton. This was followed by three years of primarily racetrack practice in Warwick Farm, Sydney. While in Sydney Amy undertook roles as President of the Young Members Group, and NSW State Representative, of Equine Veterinarians Australia. Amy gained Membership of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists in Equine Surgery in 2012.
In 2013 Amy began a residency training program in Equine Surgery and dual Masters degrees at the University of Melbourne. Her research focused on the biomechanical implications of training on subchondral bone in racehorses. In 2016 she took on a surgical role in private practice in the New Zealand Thoroughbred breeding hub of the Waikato, before joining Scone Equine Hospital in 2018.

- Dr Tate Morris
- Biography
Dr. Morris comes from the northeast United States, where he spent his time growing up split between the Connecticut coastline and the dairy barns of Vermont’s Champlain Valley. In 2009, he received his Bachelor’s of Science from the University of Vermont in Entrepreneurship, after which he spent the next three years working on cattle ranches in southern Wyoming. It was during this time that he realized his true passions lay in veterinary medicine, and as such returned to Cornell University to obtain his DVM. During his studies, he was heavily involved with Thoroughbred racehorse research, which inspired him to dedicating his practices towards the advancement of the equine athlete.
Dr. Morris is not a new face in Australia, as he briefly interned with us at the Randwick Equine Centre in 2016 before returning to the US to train with some of the premier names in the equine veterinary circles at Rood & Riddle, Cornell Ruffian Equine Specialists, and the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center. He has continued to work in New York and Pennsylvania since achieving board certification with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2022. Dr. Morris is a well-rounded practitioner, with interests in orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries of both the elective and emergent variety. He has a wide range of intellectual curiosities ranging from new ways to incorporate advanced imaging from a diagnostic and surgical perspective to breakdown injury prevention to novel applications of multimodal analgesia. He is devoted to his patients and committed to being a part of every step of their journey from the track to the operating room and back.
