- Biography
Dr Frances Shapter has been part of the UQ Vet school teaching team since 2011. After working as a vet nurse, she studied Ag science and teaching, taught in high schools, then completed a Phd and Post Doc in native grass genetics before returning to UQ. In 2017 she opened the UQ SVS Student Clinical Skills Hub and has led its development to be an essential part of the student experience. She has supported student clinical skills development for a decade, and teaches BVSc1 animal handling and husbandry, and coordinates the SVS BSc Hons program.
