The NSW Government is reviewing how it delivers mental health support across the state – and we want to ensure the voices of veterinarians are heard loud and clear.
This is an opportunity to highlight the unique pressures facing our profession and advocate for the changes needed to improve mental health outcomes for vets and the broader community.
We’re seeking member feedback to inform AVA’s submission. Key questions include:
-
What is working and what is not working in the current mental health system?
-
What needs to change, and how should those changes happen?
-
What could improve mental health and wellbeing across our communities?
-
What roles should government agencies play in supporting mental health?
-
How will we know if things are improving?
Your experiences, ideas, and insights are vital. Whether you’re practising in rural or urban NSW, in companion animal care or government service, your feedback will help shape AVA’s advocacy.
How to contribute:
Please email your feedback to publicvetaffairs@ava.com.au by Tuesday 19 August, you can complete the short online survey to share your views directly with the NSW govt.
