Call for Research Abstracts: 2026 AVA Conference

Abstract submission deadline is 22 October 2025. Abstracts may present recent research, clinical projects, case series, or individual case reports covering any area of veterinary science. Selected research presentations will take place on Wednesday 20 May 2026, in collaboration with the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.

This year, the Australian Veterinary Journal (AVJ) is celebrating 100 years of publication – a significant milestone for a journal dedicated to Australian veterinary research. Alongside this achievement, the AVJ is also celebrating one year under the leadership of Emeritus Professor Cathy McGowan as Editor in Chief.

The AVA is currently preparing a submission on the consultation by the South Australian Department of Primary Industries and Regions (PIRSA) regarding their draft Veterinary Premises Standards.

To assist in this, we are seeking feedback from AVA members by 6 October 2025.

50th ASAV Annual Conference a roaring success
