Natalie Wood is a clinical small animal veterinary associate and the newly appointed AVA ACT Division President for 2026–27. She has been involved with the ACT Division Committee for many years, contributing to the veterinary community and advocating for the profession.
Natalie has worked across the UK, Tasmania and the ACT in a diverse range of roles, including general practice, shelter medicine and surgery, out of hours veterinary care, volunteer veterinary care, and as a sole trader. Her particular passion lies in internal medicine, with a career mission to leave a lasting positive impact on the patients in her care, the people who love them, and the veterinary teams she works alongside.
Natalie is particularly passionate about supporting new graduate veterinarians. She hopes to contribute to the AVA’s goals of building a resilient, supported and sustainable future for our newest veterinarians, recognising that they are the future of our profession.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Natalie is a mother, an outdoor and yoga enthusiast and a lover of all things water and mountains. She shares her home with her husband, daughter, and two energetic dogs, a Shetland Sheepdog and a Brittany.
